Faith-Wolff
The Logging Competition has returned, signaling the end of winter as the sun shone high above. People and Tokotas from all over flocked to the town to partake in the festivities, including 3 members of the nearby Amarok Tribe. Faith hurried forward excitedly with her two Tokis in tow as their tribe mates followed behind. Ebony and Ivory were as thick as thieves and never left the others side. The competition that they'll be joining was perfect for their dynamic.

Padfoot was next walking alongside her own tokota a large Barbary named Savik. This town was not a place the young tokota had visited often and his head kept snapping this way and that making the rings on his harness click against other bits of metal as he tried to take in everything at once his tail wagging slowly there was so much to see! Padfoot patted his side reminding him to watch where he was going first and take in the sights second.

The third member of the Amarok Tribe was walking beside Padfoot and to his other side was his Tokota Akama. The handler was surprised that the curly wasn't having the same reaction as Savik but he guessed it was because the curly was older than the barbary. Era decided to take the newest member of his pack because he seemed to quickly form a chemistry with whoever he was paired with, no matter who they were. And this was a good chance for the curly to meet with the Tribe's Tokotas.

Ebony and Ivory hurried on ahead, having caught wind of the other tokis nearby. Faith was forced to run to catch up with them, huffing a bit from the effort as she finally caught them in front of the sign up kiosk. She signed them in and put their assigned numbers on them, looking to her approaching tribe mates. "So, are we excited??" she asked, grinning.

Wolfdog127
"He certainly is" Padfoot said nodding towards Savik who was wandering into the crowd slightly. She stepped up to the kiosk getting a number for the barbary. "Savik" she called getting his attention. He trotted over and while she had him still she checked on his harness adjusting a few loops to make sure nothing was loose. When she was done she took his number tag and clipped it onto one of the rings "Good to go boy."

Era went over to the table and grabbed a number for Akama. "Something different from our usual routine, keep things interesting." The handler said as he put the tag on Akama's harness. "Hopefully this should do you boy until we're able to get a proper fitted harness."

At first glance you wouldn't notice the harness was a hand me down but if you looked closer you could see the gear was just a bit too big for the curly. There were some adjustments made so it would fit the curly's body to do the job for today. Era patted the curly's neck and right after the curly gave him a big slobbery lick which would usual make anyone squirm but it seemed the handler was used to it by now.

Faith-Wolff
Ebony and Ivory remained harness-less, mainly due to their event not requiring them. To work around the lack of harness, Faith had given them matching bandannas and hooked the numbers on those. "I hope we can all place in this competition!" Faith said enthusiastically. The two tokis looked to her and the other tokotas, padding closer to them.

Padfoot nodded agreeing with Faith. She was absentmindedly running her fingers through Savik's mane while she watched the group organizers gathering and talking for a moment "looks like we're about to start" She said motioning towards the people.

Savik looked at Akama moving to sit next to him while the humans talked. "Looks like we'll be working together today" He said noting the curly's harness.

Akama sat down as well, "Yup! Have you've ever done any harness pulling?" Drool started coming from his mouth because his tusks created an under bite.

"Yeah looks like it." Era said. He turned his attention towards Akama and noticed drool coming from his mouth. The handler pulled a rag from his back pocket and walked over to the curly. He started to gently clean the drool from his fur and mouth. The curly gave him another lick as a thank you.

"Let's start heading towards our destination yeah?" Era asked.

Faith-Wolff
"Yeah let's go! Good luck guys!" Faith replied as she started to walk to the toki arena. Ebony and Ivory both smiled to Akama and Savik before following her, their tails high in the air as they bounced along.

"So, how are we gonna tackle this, Eb?" the white toki asked, looking to her bonded 'sibling'. The black toki pondered for a moment, looking at the competition as they strode past. "If we can get it rolling, we might be able to literally ride it out. Sound good Ivy?" she asked, earning a gleeful nod in return.

Wolfdog127
"You too" Padfoot called before heading over to the normal build staging area.

Savik smiled back at the toki's "I've done a little" he answered Akama following behind Padfoot "Nothing like this though just work around the the tribe. You?"

Bearhuunter
You too!" He called to Faith and her little tokis. Era jogged past the two Tokotas and started walking side by side of Padfoot.

Akama shook his head, "Nope, this will be my first time. We need to pull together I've figured out that much."

Faith-Wolff
Faith and her tokis stood at attention as the announcer went over the rules of the Toki Logging Competition. Owner and Toko alike were feeling the butterflies as they looked to the ever growing crowd, but Faith kept a confident smile up.....if anything for her tokis' sake.

Wolfdog127
"Well that's a start" Savik chuckled nudging the older tokota playfully.

Padfoot found their place in the line and set to work hooking Savik up.

Bearhuunter
Era guided Akama to the log and began hooking the leather straps to the loops in his harness. Once the handler was done he patted Akama's neck, "You'll do fine. Just work with Savik and you'll get a placing." The curly rubbed his face into Era's body.

Faith-Wolff
After everything was stated, Faith led her tokis over to their log, Ivory hopping up on top and Ebony propped against the base. She gave them both a pat and a confident thumbs up before going to stand with the other handlers.

It all came down to this. Everyone was ready as the announcers lifted their hands.

"ON YOUR MARKS!"
All tokotas present tensed.

"GET SET!"
Ebony and Ivory got ready, their tails wagging.

"GO!"
